Já não é de hoje o forte sentimento entre Caio Henrique e o Fluminense. Em uma recente entrevista ao One Football, o jogador já havia deixado claro o carinho que tem pelo clube. Contudo, agora a pouco, em uma postagem do perfil oficial do Monaco, sua atual equipe, revelou que o lateral/volante assiste aos jogos sempre que consegue. Caio também revelou que torcerá pelo tricolor na Libertadores.
"Sempre que dá, sempre que tem folga, assisto aos jogos do @FluminenseFC. Estou sempre na torcida. Esse ano é importante para o clube, de volta para a Libertadores. Vou apoiar, assistir aos jogos e espero que dê tudo certo para o Flu!"

A ideia do técnico Diego Simeone era tê-lo como reserva de outro brasileiro: Renan Lodi. No entanto, o desejo de Caio de ter mais chances como titular pesou e ele foi negociado. O jogador foi vendido para o Monaco por 8 milhões de euros (cerca de 52 milhões de reais na época) e assinou por cinco anos.
