Fluminense tem quatro convocados na Seleção Sub-18

O técnico da Seleção Brasileira Sub-18, Dudu Patetuci, revelou hoje (12) a lista de atletas convocados para o período de preparação entre 25 de fevereiro e 5 de março. Entre os vinte e três anunciados estão quatro Crias de Xerém, Jefté (Lateral Esquerdo), Alexsander (Meio-Campo), João Neto e Matheus Martins (Atacantes). As atividades serão realizadas no Centro de Treinamento do Retrô Futebol Clube, e durante esse período estão previstos dois confrontos, contras equipes sub-20 do Santa Cruz e também a do Retrô.
Em uma de suas falas, o treinador disse que essa é a oportunidade perfeita para testar novas peças e conhecer mais de perto seu elenco. São onze caras novas nessa convocação, que terão a primeira chance de atuar pela Seleção Sub-18.

Em 2020, dos quatro representantes do Fluminense na Seleção Brasileira Sub-18, o lateral Jefté atuou em 27 jogos e marcou 1 gol, entre os times do Fluminense Sub-17 e Sub-20. Já o meio-campista Alexsander totalizou 903 minutos em campo, atuando em 17 partidas pelo Flu. O atacante João Neto vem se destacando por suas atuações, são 9 gols marcados em 26 partidas, entre elencos do Fluminense Sub-17 e Sub-20. E Matheus Martins considerado um dos principais jogadores da “Geração de Ouro” de Xerém, alcançou a incrível marca de 16 gols em 30 jogos pelos elencos Sub-17 e Sub-20 do Flu, tendo a ótima média de 0,53 gols por jogo.

Muito estranha esta convocação?
São Paulo campeão da Copa do Brasil não teve nenhum jogador convocado.
Acredito na força dos empresários e de alguns clubes interessados em colocar jogadores na “vitrine” e depois afirmar que os jogadores não possuem interesse em renovar os contratos.
Entretanto ressalto que todos os 4 merecem a convocação.
Por que o KayKe que foi eleito o melhor jogador do muno no sub-17 não foi convocado?
Será porque ele já foi vendido?
