Roger explica as ausências de Nenê e Fred no duelo contra o Corinthians: “A gente vai esbarrar na questão que eu sempre falo, que é do calendário”
Depois do empate em 1 a 1 contra o Corinthians pelo Brasileirão, o técnico Roger Machado concedeu uma entrevista coletiva em São Januário e foi questionado sobre as ausências de Fred e Nenê. O comandante do Flu explicou que o calendário foi o fator chave para tomar essa decisão.
– A gente vai esbarrar na questão que eu sempre falo, que é do calendário. Por vezes, nós somos cobrados para buscar alternativas de jogo mediante as dificuldade apresentadas na partida, tendo em vista que temos pelo menos 50 jogos, quarta e domingo. E cada jogo envolve pelo menos três dias, que é pré-jogo, o jogo e o dia seguinte, em que a gente não consegue trabalhar. Com dois jogos na semana, são seis dias, fora deslocamento, tendo que lidar com ausências de convocação, desgaste.
– Você coloca um elemento a mais que não deveria estar obrigatoriamente envolvido na escolha dos jogadores em campo. Se fizéssemos seis jogos por mês, com uma semana aberta, já nos atenderia. Mas é isso que nós temos, tentamos lidar com isso. Nos apoiamos muito na fisiologia. Na reta final do estadual, com final da fase de grupos da Libertadores, levamos no limite sem mudar as peças porque entendemos que era importante naquele momento. Mas isso aumenta os riscos. Pelo fato de apenas descansar e treinar, você naturalmente perde pontos importantes, que é o físico, a força.
Além disso, Roger também comentou que mesmo com a ausência de alguns jogadores por conta do calendário, isso não pode servir como desculpa pela queda de rendimento da equipe na partida. Mas deixou claro que sempre irá colocar os atletas que estiverem nas melhores condições.
– Não dá para fazer um trabalho adequado de potência com atletas. Mas não é desculpa, embora a intensidade do jogos tenha caído muito. A gente precisa mexer, não dá para rodar, e o atleta tem que entender. É melhor a gente conseguir dosar os jogadores e colocar os que estão em momento melhor tanto técnico quanto físico.
Com o empate contra o Corinthians, o Fluminense ocupa a nona posição na tabela com 10 pontos. Agora terá o Athletico-PR nesta quarta-feira (30), às 16h (horário de Brasília), pela oitava rodada do Brasileirão, em Volta Redonda.
