Jorge vai passar pela segunda cirurgia em um joelho na carreira
O Fluminense anunciou, nesta quinta-feira (23), que o lateral Jorge sofreu uma grave lesão no joelho e vai precisar passar por cirurgia. De acordo com a assessoria do Tricolor, o camisa 6 rompeu o ligamento anterior cruzado do joelho direito.
Esta, contudo, não é a primeira vez que o jogador de 26 anos sofre este tipo de contratempo. Em Dezembro de 2020, Jorge também precisou passar por cirurgia após romper o ligamento anterior cruzado — só que do joelho esquerdo — durante uma partida do Campeonato Suíço, enquanto atuava pelo Basel.
“Infelizmente, o exame constatou essa lesão mais grave e ficarei um bom tempo afastado dos gramados. O futebol tem dessas coisas e temos que ser muito fortes em momentos como esse para lidar com a situação. Não adianta lamentar. Quero é focar na recuperação para voltar bem e o quanto antes. Vou me agarrar na força da família, dos amigos e de todos que sempre torceram por mim para vencer mais essa etapa”, disse Jorge à época.
O tempo médio de recuperação costuma demorar, em média, de seis a sete meses. Entretanto, o lateral chegou a ficar nove meses sem entrar em campo. Emprestado pelo Monaco, o lateral retornou ao clube que disputa o Campeonato Francês antes de assinar com o Palmeiras em Julho do ano seguinte.

No Alviverde, Jorge um exame detectou uma lesão não relocianada a cirurgia no joelho, o que fez com que o jogador demorasse ainda mais para estrear. Assim, o atleta entrou em campo pela primeira vez apenas em Outubro de 2021.
Nova cirurgia no joelho frusta expectativa de sequência para Jorge
Ao assinar com o Fluminense, Jorge relembrou da grave lesão no joelho. Em sua primeira coletiva de imprensa, o lateral admitiu que o longo período de inatividade o atrapalhou durante a passagem pelo clube paulista.
“O que pode mudar é eu ter sequência que eu sempre tive em clubes que passei. Cheguei no Palmeiras voltando de uma lesão muito grave no joelho. Cheguei ainda em fase de reabilitação. Sabia que iria enfrentar um processo longo. Na chegada do Piquerez, eu sabia que estaria um passo atrás por ele estar em alta, jogando a Libertadores na equipe que estava”, contou o lateral.
Jorge, aliás, é o único lateral-esquerdo de ofício escalado por Fernando Diniz neste início de temporado. Cristiano voltou a treinar com o grupo, mas segue aguardando uma negociação enquanto Calegari e Guga foram testados no setor. Além disso, o treinador ainda tem a volta de Alexsander, que terminou 2022 como titular da posição e estava disputando o Sul Americano Sub-20 com a Seleção Brasileira.
