Jogadoras da base do Fluminense são convocadas para a Seleção Sub-17
Na quinta-feira (4), a CBF divulgou a lista de convocação para mais um ciclo da Seleção Feminina Sub-17, que se prepara para a Copa do Mundo da categoria em outubro. Das 26 atletas selecionadas por Simone Jatobá para o período de treinamento em Teresópolis (RJ), duas são jogadoras da base do Fluminense: a goleira Mariana e a atacante Sandy. O compromisso na Granja Comary será entre os dias 15 e 30 de agosto.
Esta não é a primeira vez que dupla é convocada. Mari já se tornou nome frequente nas listas de Simone Jatobá e Sandy já havia sido convocada no ciclo anterior, em Porto Feliz (SP). As jogadoras se juntaram ainda a Duda Calazans, Nicolle e Mariana Guimarães (foto abaixo).
Em boa fase, Sandy balançou as redes na primeira oportunidade que teve. Em um amistoso da Seleção contra a equipe masculina sub-13 do Independente de Limeira, a atacante o segundo dos quatro gols do time. No meio tempo, o Fluminense disputou a Copa Nike da categoria e a camisa 9 tricolor foi a artilheira da competição, tendo marcado quatro vezes.

Possíveis desfalques
Conforme prevê o calendário, há rodadas do Campeonato Carioca Feminino marcadas para o período em que as atletas estarão na Seleção. No sub-17, são dois jogos, contra Heips (21) e Flamengo (28). Já no sub-20, são as partidas contra Vasco (21) e Ceres (27).
Importante lembrar que embora estejam sendo convocadas para a categoria sub-17, podem ser desfalques para categoria de cima do Flu. Isso porque Mari é a goleira titular do sub-20 tricolor e Sandy é peça importante para os dois times. A estreia no estadual já ocorre neste domingo (7).
