– Acredito que foi o gol mais importante que fiz em minha carreira. Senti uma emoção muito grande, meu aniversário hoje, estou longe da minha família, foi muito especial fazer esse gol. Um gol muito importante para mim, para gerar confiança de novo. A equipe estava precisando desse gol para encaminhar a vitória e subir na tabela.
O uruguaio também brincou sobre o fato de ter feito os dois gols pelo Flu no Nilton Santos. Lembrando que ele chegou a balançar as redes contra o Botafogo, mas em um jogo amistoso.
