Contratado por empréstimo junto ao Santos em 2019, o volante terminou aquele ano como titular do interino Marcão na reta final de Campeonato Brasileiro. Com o desempenho desejado, o Flu comprou o jogador em definitivo. Nas temporada seguintes, no entanto, Yuri não manteve a fase que o tornou titular da equipe ao final de 2019 e perdeu espaço. Na última temporada, foi emprestado ao Cuiabá, onde disputou 21 partidas e foi titular oito vezes. O atleta de 27 anos se despede do Fluminense com 55 partidas vestindo a camisa Tricolor.

O contrato do jogador com o Flu ainda possui validade até 31 de dezembro de 2022. Entretanto, já foi avisado que não faz parte dos planos do clube e liberado para procurar uma nova equipe.
