Vitor Mendes e outros 11 atletas investigados por manipulação são suspensos preventivamente pelo STJD
O zagueiro Vitor Mendes foi suspenso preventivamente pelo STJD por suspeita de participar de esquema de manipulação de resultado. Ele e outros 11 atletas estão proibidos de atuar por 30 dias, até que o caso seja julgado. Quem determinou foi o presidente em exercício, Felipe Bevilacqua, com base nas provas da Operação Penalidade Máxima investigada pelo MP-GO. Todos os jogadores se tornaram réus na Justiça de Goiás.
Felipe Bevilacqua alegou que “as violações e os prejuízos ao desporto, sua repercussão, são graves o suficiente para justificar a medida excepcional de suspensão preventiva dos denunciados”.
Vitor Mendes é jogador do Atlético-MG e está emprestado para o Fluminense até o final do ano.
