Trio de Xerém é convocado para seleção Brasileira sub-17
A fábrica de Xerém não para de revelar talentos. Após a chegada nos profissionais de nomes como Luiz Henrique, André, Martineli e Calegari – além de Matheus Martins, John Kennedy e outros tantos nos aspirantes – agora é a vez de uma molecada do sub-16 começar a ganhar os holofotes. Trata-se de Esquerdinha, Gustavo e Fábio que foram convocados para a seleção brasileira sub-17 e desfalcam o Fluminense na Copa Olaria Sub-16.
Destaques no ano passado no sub-15, os três atletas chegaram neste ano no sub-16 e também compõem o sub-17. Esquerdinha, lateral-esquedo habilidoso; Fábio, volante de marcação, mas com visão de jogo e boa saída de bola; e Gustavo, atacante com muita presença de área e faro de gols, são apenas três dos exemplos da nova geração que vem saindo do forno lá na fábrica.
Além deles, o fisioterapeuta Hulli Nagel, que também pertence ao quadro do sub-16, também foi convocado para esse período na Granja Comary.

Os atletas, e o fisioterapeuta, foram convocados pelo técnico Phelipe Leal – que assumiu esse ano o comando da seleção da categoria – para a primeira etapa de preparação visando o Torneio Sul-Americano, que será disputado em 2023. Ao todo, o treinador chamou 26 atletas.

O Flu estreou com uma vitória expressiva na competição – a primeira do ano. Pela primeira fase, os moleques de Xerém bateram o Porto Real por 9 a 0. Kauã Elias (3); Carlos André; Mateus Luiz; Matheus Pedro; Kelwin; Kevyn
