Sub-20 do Fluminense estreia no Torneio OPG nesta quarta
Nesta quarta-feira(07), os moleques de xerém, campeões carioca, fazem a estreia na OPG/Copa rio. O time sub-20 do Fluminense vai enfrentar a cabofriense no estádio Los Larios, as 15h. O duelo é válido pelas oitavas de final do torneio. O time do técnico Guilherme Torres espera começar com vitória para encaminhar a classificação para a próxima fase.
“Competição importante para a formação dos nossos jogadores, principalmente pela sua tradição e pela característica de ser mata-mata desde o início. Sabemos que é uma competição difícil. Temos equipes qualificadas, competitivas e ainda existe a possibilidade das equipes utilizarem alguns atletas Sub-23. Além disso, existe o fator campo, que muitas vezes não é o mais adequado e demanda uma capacidade de adaptação rápida dos jogadores. Nosso objetivo é a evolução individual e coletiva de nossos atletas, para conquistarmos o direito de jogar todos os jogos possíveis neste ano e disputar o título”, disse Guilherme Torres.
A Copa Rio Sub-20 é o tradicional torneio OPG. Neste ano, os clubes se enfrentam em mata-mata desde a primeira fase. O Fluminense estreia na competição já nas oitavas de finais contra a Cabofriense. O Tricolor já conquistou dois títulos, em 1999 e em 2008.
