Há poucas semanas atrás eu me referi à campanha espetacular do nosso Fluminense neste campeonato Brasileiro, dizendo o que viesse depois de atingirmos o quinto lugar na tabela, que naquela altura do campeonato garantindo praticamente a pré-fase da Libertadores da América de 2023 na fase preliminar, me dei por satisfeito, como disse no artigo de semanas passadas que não podíamos reclamar de nada. Claro que houve erros nesta caminhada, mas os acertos, convenhamos, foram muito maiores. Perdemos a Copa do Brasil e não passamos para a fase de grupo (tudo bem, em termos) da Libertadores. Porém, nestas duas competições, não saímos sem condições de vencer este ou aquele adversário, ou seja, jogamos em igualdade de condições, tivemos muitas chances claras de passar em ambos os campeonatos. Na Copa do Brasil, por exemplo, saímos fora por erros nossos. Tivemos tudo para vencer e bem o Corinthians, aqui no Mario Filho e nos classificarmos para a finais por antecipação.
Para minha surpresa e de todos os tricolores, conquistamos o direito de entrar na fase de Grupo da Libertadores de 2023 por antecipação. Foi um presente de Natal para nós, tricolores, principalmente porque brigamos o Campeonato durante a maioria do tempo com equipes de orçamento maior, aliás muito maior, incluindo aí a folha de pagamento e estamos brigando com eles pau a pau pelo segundo lugar. Hoje estamos três pontos atrás do Internacional, que tem a tabela mais complicada e junto em números de pontos, trinta e um, com o Corinthians e com o poderoso e milionário Flamengo.
Há quanto tempo não fazíamos uma campanha com esta? Por enquanto são dezoito vitórias, o que aconteceu no ano do tetra Campeonato em 2012, com atuações acima da média. Tivemos partidas em que deixamos a desejar, perdemos, hoje poderíamos estar quase com setenta pontos, mas não faz mal. Me lembro que passei seis anos preocupadíssimo, escrevendo praticamente o ano todo sobre a possibilidade de cairmos para a segundona, pois não saiamos da segunda página da tabela, sempre ficávamos do décimo primeiro colocado para baixo. Nesses últimos três anos a coisa mudou, estamos nos acostumando a disputar a Libertadores e quem sabe disputá-la com maiores chances de vencê-la. Hoje consigo dormir, na maioria das vezes “tranquilão” com o nosso Tricolor. Claro que ainda estarei sujeito a chuvas e trovoadas. Nada conosco é sem sofrimento, já dizia Nelson Rodrigues.
Ia me esquecendo de que hoje tem jogo, caramba! Continuamos precisando de vitórias, em busca de uma posição que nos dê mais dinheiro. Por incrível que pareça, dou um ligeiro favoritismo para a gente, o que pode ser um perigo. Mudando de fio a pavio: demorou, mas a diretoria tricolor começou uma “limpa” nas divisões de base, principalmente no que tange aos treinadores. Notícias que nos chegam das Laranjeiras dão conta de que haverá muitas mudanças na parte técnica, ou seja, nos treinadores. Realmente neste ano de 2022 colecionamos FRACASSOS, apenas isso. Tirando o Carioca, fomos eliminados sumariamente em todos os campeonatos, um show de horrores, com diz um amigão meu.
