Recém-chegada, Mari faz o seu primeiro treino com as novas companheiras em Laranjeiras
Recém-chegada ao Fluminense para a disputa da temporada 2020/2021 da Superliga Banco do Brasil, a campeã olímpica Mari realizou seu primeiro treino em Laranjeiras nesta segunda-feira (09/11). A atleta começou o dia com treino físico na academia com o preparador Roberto Athanásio e, logo em seguida, foi para a quadra com o técnico Hylmer Dias e o auxiliar Guilherme Schmitz.
Mari vem de uma breve passagem no vôlei de praia, onde formou dupla com Paula Pequeno. Sua última temporada na quadra foi a de 2016/2017, pelo Bauru. Apesar da mudança, a atleta acredita que não terá grandes problemas de adaptação.
“Nunca sai da areia para a quadra, então ainda vou descobrir como será essa transição. Até comentei com o Hylmer que achei que ia estar meio ‘torta’, mas nem estou. Acho que a adaptação vai ser rápida”, disse o novo reforço do Fluminense.

O técnico Tricolor Hylmer Dias elogiou a forma física de Mari e acredita que poderá contar com ela em breve.
“A Mari chegou muito bem fisicamente e, tecnicamente, sempre foi uma jogadora muito boa. Ela está bem melhor do que achamos que ela estaria devido ao tempo parada. Acreditamos que com uma sequência de treinos, tomando cuidado para não ter nenhuma lesão, ela vai jogar mais rápido do que esperávamos”, avaliou o treinador.
O preparador físico Roberto Athanásio ficou satisfeito com o que viu no primeiro treino de Mari.
“A Mari chegou com um condicionamento muito bom. O peso corporal está bom e o nível de força está legal. Ela estava malhando em São Paulo e só parou semana passada devido à mudança, vamos começar o trabalho em um nível avançado. Foi um pontapé inicial muito bom”, afirmou Roberto.
