Oficialmente batizado de “Carlos José Castilho”, o Centro de Treinamento do Fluminense não ostenta mais, na entrada do prédio principal, a placa com o nome de Pedro Antônio, tricolor ilustre que ajudou o clube na construção da estrutura, e que também financiou a obra. Alias, essa questão é bastante controversa entre os tricolores.
Enquanto de um lado existem aqueles que consideravam justa a homenagem, feita na gestão Peter Siemsem, e acharam esse ato uma ingratidão com Pedro Antônio, do outro estão aqueles que defendem que estruturas devem ser batizadas com nomes de atletas, ou profissionais, que marcaram seu nome na história do clube.
E o caso do nome do CT é, no mínimo, curioso. Por mais que todos o chamasse de CTPA (Centro de Treinamento Pedro Antônio) o mesmo jamais chegou a ser batizado formalmente. A cerimônia, conduzida pelo então presidente Peter Siemsem, não seguiu os trâmites oficiais do estatuto, o que significa que não houve um “batismo” oficial.

Nesse ano, o conselheiro Paulo Mozart levou ao conhecimento do presidente do conselho deliberativo, Fernando Leite, uma proposta para que o CT passasse a ser chamado, de maneira oficial, Carlos José Castilho, eterno ídolo tricolor. A proposta gerou um mal estar nas redes sociais, onde alguns tricolores viram cunho político nessa decisão e a associaram à gestão Mário/Celso. Isso acabou “obrigando” o presidente, em coletiva concedida dias após a reunião, explicar que essa decisão não cabe à presidência ou qualquer dirigente, que isso é uma atribuição do Conselho Deliberativo. Nessa ocasião, ainda foi destacado que tanto Paulo Mozart, que apresentou o requerimento, quanto Fernando Leite, presidente do conselho que o acatou, foram eleitos na gestão passada e que o conselho, que aprovou o pedido, é majoritariamente composto pelos eleitos juntamente com Abad.
Procuramos a assessoria e fomos informados que será realizada uma cerimônia em homenagem ao eterno ídolo Castilho, que agora dá nome ao Centro de Treinamento do Clube.
