O retorno do “presidente” – John Kennedy volta de empréstimo e se firma de vez no elenco tricolor
O atacante Jhon Kennedy parece ter se firmado de vez no elenco tricolor. Além de ser constantemente utilizado pelo técnico Fernando Diniz desde que voltou de empréstimo, da Ferroviária de São Paulo, o jovem reencontrou o caminho para os gols com a camisa verde, branco e grená.
Atacante nato, o atleta, além de uma nova chance no Fluminense, recebeu também outro presente: herdou a camisa nove, que pertencia ao ídolo Fred.
O comandante do time, Diniz, é sempre elogiado por diversos jogadores por sua capacidade de recuperar jogadores. O comandante é parte fundamental da recuperação de Jhon.

Hoje uma realidade, o “presidente” já foi tratado como uma das grandes promessas das divisões de base do Fluminense. O atacante provou seu valor em algumas oportunidades, em 2021.
Entretanto, apesar de ótimas exibições dentro de campo, Jhon chegou a ser punido por indisciplina no Fluminense. Após voltar de empréstimo ao elenco do tricolor, o jogador afirmou que está muito feliz com seu retorno ao Rio e admitiu alguns “vacilos”:
“Sempre fui muito feliz no Fluminense, não tenho nada a reclamar do clube nem das pessoas que trabalham lá. Realmente, eu que dei alguns moles, uns vacilos, estava com a cabeça meio virada. Mas regenerei, novo homem. Sempre fui muito feliz lá e tenho maior carinho pelo Fluminense.”
Destaque na Ferroviária
Jhon foi um dos destaques do time da Ferroviária na disputa do Paulistão, o jogador participou de 11 jogos na competição e marcou seis gols. Mesmo com o time de Araraquara não avançando no campeonato estadual, o cria de Xerém terminou o torneio em terceiro lugar na disputa pela artilharia, ficando atrás somente de Galoppo (São Paulo) e Roger Guedes (Corinthians) que balançaram as redes duas vezes mais que o jogador.
Interesse de outros clubes e retorno ao Fluminense
Antes de voltar ao tricolor carioca, o atacante despertou o interesse de outros clubes. O Chicago Fire, dos Estados Unidos, chegou a fazer uma proposta para contar o atleta em seu elenco, entretanto as negociações não avançaram pois a diretoria tricolor, além de achar baixo os valores, acreditava no potencial do atleta para continuidade em 2023.
Desde seu retorno a Laranjeiras, o atacante já marcou dois gols em quatro jogos que disputou (sempre saindo do banco de reservas), provando que vai ser peça muito útil no elenco tricolor durante a vasta temporada.
