Metinho lamenta não ter jogado mais pelo Fluminense: “Acabei não atuando como gostaria no profissional”
Cria de Xerém Metinho, foi vendido para o Grupo City em 2021. O garoto era uma das principais promessas do Fluminense, mas não conseguiu brilhar pelo profissional antes de começar a carreira pela Europa. Hoje está emprestado ao Lommel SK, da segunda divisão da Bélgica, após começo marcado por lesão, no Troyes, da França.
O jogador nasceu no Congo, mas se mudou para o Brasil com um ano, por causa da perseguição religiosa sofrida na África. Em entrevista para o IG Esporte, falou que gostaria de ter jogado mais no Tricolor e não descarta uma volta no futuro.
“Foi uma pena, eu joguei tanto tempo e tive tantas alegrias com essas cores na base e acabei não atuando como gostaria no profissional. Mas futebol é assim mesmo. Hoje em dia me sinto muito bem na Europa e quem sabe um dia eu volte a vestir essa camisa”, disse Metinho.

Metinho foi da base do Fluminense por 8 anos e capitão da “”Geração dos Sonhos” campeã brasileira sub-17 em 2020. Antes de se transferir fez uma única partida, saindo do banco na derrota por 3 a 0 para a Portuguesa no Carioca.
