Mário explica ausência de Celso Barros na Flufest
O presidente do Fluminense, Mário Bittencourt, concedeu entrevista coletiva nesta sexta-feira e respondeu diversos questionamentos feitos pela imprensa. Dentre eles, o mandatário explicou a ausência do vice-presidente geral, Celso Barros, na Flufest, evento que comemorou o aniversário do Flu e teve o lançamento do livro da conquista do tricampeonato brasileiro (época que o dirigente era presidente da patrocinadora do clube).
– A inverdade que a gente excluiu o Celso Barros está no livro, a segunda página do livro foi escrita por ele. Ele segue como vice-presidente geral do clube porque assim foi eleito. Não está no comando do futebol desde o ano passado. Em algumas ocasiões nos falamos cordialmente, mas eu queria fazer um desagravo à minha equipe e também à uma acusação que sofremos recentemente sobre o lançamento do livro, da FluFest. Por uma questão de saúde, ele não foi convidado a participar do evento dentro do campo. Nós estamos no meio de uma pandemia ainda, ele tem quase 70 anos de idade e, além de tudo, no ano passado teve um problema de saúde especificamente no pulmão. Então, por uma questão de saúde, optamos em não trazê-lo pro evento. Foi muito mais para preservar a saúde dele. O fato de ele não estar mais no departamento de futebol não significa que a gente não o respeite, não goste dele e que não vá respeitar a história que ele construiu dentro do Fluminense.
