Desde o começo da pandemia de Covid-19 no Brasil, os clubes de futebol vêm sentindo o impacto direto em suas gestões, principalmente em relação ao aspecto financeiro. Com o fechamento dos portões e a impossibilidade da presença de público nos estádios, as instituições viram as receitas provenientes dos programas de sócio-torcedor caírem drasticamente.
O Fluminense, por exemplo, chegou próximo aos 40 mil sócios no final de 2020 após a campanha “ÉPeloFLU”, mobilizada pela própria torcida em junho do ano passado, mas se encontra atualmente na faixa dos 31 mil.
Em entrevista ao “ge”, Mário Bittencourt, presidente do Fluminense, foi perguntado se o momento atual não seria o ideal para o lançamento de novos planos de sócio, principalmente pela boa fase do time de futebol. O mandatário tricolor, por sua vez, acredita que a motivação do sócio-torcedor de um clube de futebol está diretamente ligada à ida ao estádio. Logo, observada a impossibilidade desta experiência poder ser oferecida ao torcedor no atual cenário, Mário Bittencourt diz que lançar novos planos sem estádio “não faria sentido”.
“Na verdade a gente continua segurando o lançamento porque, depois de muitos estudos, nós chegamos à conclusão que a relação do sócio-torcedor com qualquer clube está muito vinculada à ida ao estádio. Então lançar os planos sem estádio não tem sentido, porque todo o programa foi construído com relação à frequência no estádio. Questão de pontuação que o sócio recebe, dos eventos que tem direito quando acumular pontuação”, afirmou o presidente do Fluminense.

Mário Bittencourt também aproveitou para agradecer aos torcedores que se mantiveram associados durante a pandemia e destacou que estes terão algumas garantias no momento de reabertura dos estádios.
“Então, primeiro quero agradecer o fato de ainda termos mais de 30 mil pessoas pagando mesmo sem estádio para ir, demonstra que nossa torcida continua ajudando o clube, mas lançar um novo plano agora, que prevê ida ao estádio… Vamos continuar segurando e esperando que minimamente volte o público nos estádios. E até porque a gente deu algumas garantias para os sócios que se mantiveram pagando, que possam ir ao estádio assim que reabrir, pelo fato de estarem pagando desde aquela época (início da pandemia).
