500g beef mince
250ց English veal mince
2 tbsp finely grated parmesan, ρlus extra tto serve
4 anchovies, finely chopped
2 tbsp chopped flat-leaf parsley
salt aand freshly ground black pepper
350ɡ dried spaghetti, to serve (optional;

1 Ϝirst make a tmato sauce. Ӏn a saucepan, heat а dash оf olive oil
ovesr ɑ medium heat, tһen add hal tһe chopped onion ɑnd half tһe garlic, tһеn sauté foг 10 minuteѕ to soften. Add the tomatoes and wһen thе liquid ѕtarts too bubble, reduce to a skmmer аnd leave to cook, stirring occasionally (аbout 20 minutes, to cгeate a
tһick sauce), wһile ｙοu makｅ tһe meatballs.
2 In a bowl, soak tһe bread in thhe milk until soft.
In another bowl, mix the beef, veal, parmesan, anchovies, half tһe parsley and
the rest oof tһe onions ɑnd garlic. Thhen аdd the soaked bread,
lightly squeezing aany excess milk fгom it firѕt. Mix welpl and season ᴡith salt аnd pepper.
Mould thе mixture into 12-14 meatballs.
3 Put tһe 4 tablespoons of olive oil inn a lɑrge frying pan ονer a medium heat.
Ꮃhen hot, adԀ tһе meatballs, tսrning (for abou 5 minutes) tо ensure they
colour all oveｒ. If necessaгy, cook in batches sⲟ thеy аre not ɑll
squashed tоgether, setting eaϲh batch asіdе on a plate whіle yoս
cook tһe remainder.
4 Ꭲo finish, remove tһe meatballs frօm tthe pan and set aѕide.
Pourr tthe tomato sauce iinto tһe frying pan оver a medium heat.
Ρut thｅ meatballs baqck into thee pan foг a further 4-5
minutes to cook tһrough. Sprrinkle ԝith tһe remaining parsley ƅefore serving.

in what has been called ‘Australia’s most exclusive club’.
Mr Bandt was challenged on Monday by ABC Radio National stand-in host Steve Cannane that he was ‘enjoying free hospitality from a company that has illegally sacked hundreds of
workers’.
Mr Bandt replied: ‘And I’ll declare that and
people can make their own judgement about what they think about that.’
Cannane was referring to the Federal Court’s ruling that Qantas illegally sacked 1,700
workers at the start of the Covid pandemic in a case brought
by Transport Workers Union.
Commenting on the sacking in June of 2020, Mr Bandt called it a ‘devastating day for
thousands of Qantas workers & their families’ in a Facebook
post. ‘We’re thinking of you,’ he wrote.
Cannane challenged Mr Bandt further saying: ‘You don’t think
you should be a little purer on this and just not
take their (Qantas’s) hospitality?’
Mr Bandt said he always made declarations about matters such as this and argued that the party’s policies to
tax big corporations heavily show the perks were not impacting the Greens.

Fellow Greens MP Max Chandler-Mather last year said he had shunned
a Chairman’s Lounge membership and refuses to travel business class.
Earlier this year Mr Bandt’s flying habits led to controversy.
Mr Bandt’s flying habits have been a previous source of
controversy after it was revealed he frequently opts for business
class and has even taken private jets to election events
Mr Bandt used two private jets during the 2022 federal election campaign, landing tax payers with the $23,000 bill.
One flight was between Queensland regional centres Townsville and Rockhampton on March
7 but he also boarded a $15,000 private plane along
the well-travelled Brisbane to Canberra route to attend
his party’s election campaign launch.
Mr Bandt isn’t the only politician in the hot seat with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese being asked if he has included both his
son and partner as ‘plus one’ Chairman’s Club members.
He is also being asked about free flight upgrades including an international one he is alleged to have received from Qantas in new book
The Chairman’s Lounge authored by former Australian Financial Review columnist Joe
Aston.
The Greens are licking their electoral wounds after the Queensland state poll, where they are battling to hold
onto their two seats after stating they aimed to triple their representation in parliament.
With 72 per cent of the vote counted they appear to have retained the Brisbane
seat of Maiwar but suffered a 4.6 per cent swing to the ALP.
However, they remain behind South Brisbane, which has seen a massive 12.4 per cent swing to Labor with 64 per
cent of votes counted.
WHAT IS THE QANTAS CHAIRMAN’S CLUB?
The Qantas Chairman’s Lounge is an invitation-only club approved by the
company chairman, with the guest list a closely-guarded secret.
It has been dubbed ‘the most exclusive club in the country’ and comes with a distinct black

to look.
Inside you will find expensive wood and brass furnishings, wool carpet and marble flooring all bathed in natural light.
Members enjoy fine à la carte dining with a complimentary premium
array of beers, spirits and Australian wines. Wine bottles
are often given as departing gift
Facilities may also include spas, showers and
an assortment of books and magazines.
Members may bring in two guests at a time.
Lounge attendants personally alert you when your flight
is to board and your personal preferences are logged for each flight.
Membership also entitles you to first-class facilities at Qantas
partner airlines.

say about fan culture than it or its predecessor does about mental illness,

Deadline’s Pete Hammond praises the film as ‘brilliant’ and lauds the performances of
the leads.
‘Phoenix knows this character inside and out, and in what others might
say is a risky proposition, he tap dances, sings and sells this role like no other — if
not topping his Oscar-winning turn in Joker,
at least finding a way to take him in different, wholly surprising direction.
‘Gaga is smartly low-key, not the Harley Quinn we

As regular e-cigarettes with nicotine-laced liquid are effectively banned in Japan, the country has become
the main market for “heat not burn” (HNB) products, which
emit less smoke and smell less than conventional cigarettes.
Philip Morris, maker of Marlboro cigarettes, was first to start selling HNB products in Japan in 2014.
But after an initial surge in sales last year, it has run into competition from British American Tobacco and Japan Tobacco Inc , and
its market share has stopped growing in recent quarters.
The companies slashed prices of their heating devices earlier this year, as competition intensified.
“Clearly IQOS sales have slowed down” since their launch in Japan, Philip Morris CEO Andre Calantzopoulos told reporters on Tuesday.
But he said the increased competition was not necessarily a bad thing
in the long run if the increased choice made the products more
popular among consumers.
A new “HEETS” line priced at 470 yen ($4.18) a pack would be available from Tuesday, he said.
That is cheaper than Philip Morris’s current HeatSticks,
tobacco rolls used with IQOS devices, which are priced at 500 yen per
pack.
“Clearly, for some people, spending 30 yen more, 40 yen more per day is expensive,” Calantzopoulos told Reuters in a
separate interview.
In mid-November, the company will also release newer versions of its
“IQOS 3” and “IQOS 3 MULTI” devices. The existing versions will still be available at current
prices.
Philip Morris, the world’s largest publicly traded tobacco company, has seen weaker-than-expected
growth in IQOS recently, after building a leading position in the global HNB market.
Japan accounts for about 85 percent of the $6.3 billion HNB
market, according to Euromonitor.
Philip Morris says IQOS has a 15.5 percent share in Japan’s overall tobacco market, including conventional cigarettes, but market share has stabilised.
“I think it’s natural in any category that you have slowdowns,” Calantzopoulos said.
“We have people who adopted earlier and people who are more conservative.”
Philip Morris has also made a marketing application to the FDA for IQOS, which would allow
the company to sell it with a claim of reduced risk.
Philip Morris was spun off from Altria Group Inc nearly a
decade ago, and Altria will commercialise IQOS in the United States.
Calantzopoulos said permission for commercialisation would come
hopefully before the end of the year and Altria was “ready to launch”.
A Reuters report in December identified shortcomings
in the training and professionalism of some of the lead investigators in the clinical
trials submitted to the FDA by Philip Morris.
On Monday, Philip Morris drew accusations of hypocrisy after using
a four-page newspaper advertisement to urge smokers to quit cigarettes.

U.S.-China trade war, Thai Commerce Minister Pichai Naripthaphan said on Thursday, adding
the Southeast Asian country had good relations with both nations and would not need to take
sides in a dispute.
In a trade war, U.S. imports of Chinese goods would
drop and Thai products should replace them, meaning that Thai exports to
the U.S will increase, he told reporters.
“We have a good balance between the U.S and China … the Americans love us, the Chinese love us, we don’t have to choose sides,” he said, adding a delegation of American businesses
visit Thailand in November.
Pichai said he hoped for more investment from the United States, citing plans by hard disk producers
Seagate and Western Digital to expand their existing operations
