O Fluminense segue ativo no mercado na busca de reforços para a próxima temporada. Depois de anunciar Antônio Carlos, Renato Augusto e Felipe Alves, o tricolor demonstrou interesse em contratar o meia Gabriel Pires, ex-Botafogo. Segundo o GE, o clube carioca irá formalizar uma proposta ao Benfica-POR para contar com o atleta por empréstimo.
Na última temporada, Gabriel Pires atuou em 34 partidas pelo Botafogo e marcou dois gols. O atleta foi titular do alvinegro na reta final do campeonato, após se recuperar de uma lesão na panturrilha.
