Fluminense anuncia oficialmente Mari, campeã olímpica, como reforço para a Superliga
O Fluminense anunciou oficialmente mais um grande reforço para o seu time de vôlei feminino. Campeã olímpica em Pequim 2008, Mari vai reforçar o tricolor na nova temporada da Superliga. A jogadora, que estava no vôlei de praia e chegou a formar dupla com Paula Pequeno, voltará a atuar no vôlei de quadra. O clube confirmou oficialmente a contratação nesta quarta-feira, mas desde a semana passada, o Saudações Tricolores já havia anunciado o acerto entre as partes.
O último clube de Mari, de 37 anos, foi o Bauru, na temporada 2016/2017. Além do Fluminense, ela chegou a negociar com o Curitiba, que já conta com as também campeãs olímpicas Sassá e Valeskinha.

Pela seleção brasileira, Mari conquistou as Olimpíadas de Pequim, em 2008, os Jogos Pan-Americanos de Guadalajara, em 2011, e quatro edições do Grand Prix. Pelos clubes que defendeu, a atleta soma quatro Superligas (Osasco, em 02/03, 03/04 e 04/05, e Rio de Janeiro, em 2010/2011), uma Liga Italiana e uma Supercopa da Itália, pelo Pesaro, entre outros títulos.
Essa é a segunda contratação de impacto no vôlei do Fluminense nessa nova temporada. A primeira, foi a capitã da Seleção Argentina, Julieta Lazcano, contratada no fim de setembro.
