Nós tivemos três jogos muito duros. São times que vão poder brigar também pelo título. No primeiro jogo levamos um gol por falta de sorte. Tirando isso, foi um jogo muito equilibrado. O resultado justo seria um empate. No segundo jogo o time jogou muito melhor e acredito que podíamos ter conquistado a vitória, mas o empate contra um time como o Palmeiras, acredito que foi válido. Contra o Inter, foi muito importante a vitória. Nos dá tranquilidade e confiança para sabermos que estamos evoluindo. Claro que precisamos melhorar muita coisa, mas o time está evoluindo bem, estamos conseguindo fazer o nosso jogo, ter uma intensidade muito boa. Já notamos uma melhora muito positiva nesse último jogo.
Seu posicionamento em campo
Depende muito do jogo. A minha posição é mais centralizada, mas eu também joguei muito tempo pela direita. Acho que a única coisa é acertar um pouco mais na parte defensiva. Ontem, por exemplo, eu comecei o jogo na ponta, mas já tive um posicionamento mais centralizado na hora de defender e isso me ajudou mais. Jogo nas duas posições, aberto ou pelo meio, não tenho problema nenhum. O futebol brasileiro é muito imediatista, a gente precisa sempre ter o resultado, se não em um ou dois jogos a coisa já fica ruim. Mas eu sou bastante tranquilo em relação a isso. É o Odair quem decide a posição em campo e ele sabe o que é melhor para o time.
Melhor rendimento no meio do que na ponta
É importante termos essa variação de posição, como aconteceu no jogo. Eu já tinha conversado com o Odair sobre isso. A gente sempre conversa, temos essa liberdade. Conversamos pra ajustar essa questão da marcação. Caso a gente precisasse, eu trocaria de posição, que foi o que aconteceu. Eu fiquei mais centralizado e a gente acabou tendo mais facilidade na hora de sair com a bola. O time melhorou, mas não é que eu comecei a render mais, e sim aparecer mais. Se você joga aberto, você não pega tanto na bola, e ai parece que você não ta rendendo tanto, mas não é o caso. Só estava pegando menos na bola. A gente pensa muito no coletivo e não no Nenê, porque o que mais importa é o Fluminense.
Período sem gols
Quem não gosta de fazer gol? Mas não tinha essa ansiedade e preocupação a isso. Eu estava tentando ajudar o máximo possível com o que estava sendo proposto pelo Odair e também pude fazer os gols e tirar essa ansiedade da parte de vocês e da torcida, porque da minha parte não tinha. Não digo (que era um) jejum. Nós jogamos três finais do Carioca, dois amistosos e dois jogos do Brasileiro. Para um meia, é uma coisa totalmente normal. Vocês e a torcida às vezes se acostumam mal. Minha obrigação é dar assistência, os gols eram um plus. Não tenho preocupação nenhuma em relação a ter que fazer gol. O importante é ganhar. Se não ganharmos, fico bravo. A gente dá o melhor a cada jogo para ajudar o Fluminense
Avaliação do Momento
Se eu não faço gol, dizem que estou rendendo pouco. Acho meio injusto. A gente tem que pensar no time. Essa questão de posicionamento era a maneira que o Odair estava encontrando do time ficar mais equilibrado defensivamente, para não tomarmos tantos contra-ataques. Começou nas finais do Carioca e deu certo. Creio que estou muito bem. É muito cedo para falar em relação a momento. Teve quarentena, parada, Carioca, parou de novo. No geral acho positivo. Eu não estava fazendo gols, mas fisicamente estava bem, ajudando da maneira que a comissão vinha pedindo, nada diferente disso. Se eu não faço gol ou o Fluminense não ganha, vão sempre associar ao meu nome porque eu estava fazendo muitos gols antes da parada. É normal.
Jogo contra o Inter
Estamos evoluindo a cada jogo. Nesse último jogo tivemos uma evolução ainda maior. Era isso que estávamos precisando. Melhoramos nessa parte ofensiva, era isso que estávamos precisando, na hora da última definição. Será um parâmetro bom. Não para manter, mas sempre para tentar melhorar. O Inter é um time que tem um enfrentamento muito forte defensivo. Pudemos frear isso. Estivemos muito compactos e concentrados em todas as fases do jogo.
Bola parada
O gol que fizemos contra o Palmeiras foi através de uma bola parada. Um dos pênaltis de ontem se originou após uma falta que eu cobrei. Sempre podemos melhorar, mas não temos uma performance baixa nesse quesito. Temos esse poderio de jogadores que cabeceiam bem. Eu procuro colocar uma bola em uma posição difícil para o adversário. A gente vê que bolas paradas acabam fazendo a diferença em jogos, principalmente nos mais equilibrados.
Thiago Silva e relação com o PSG
O Thiago é Fluminense. Está sempre acompanhando a gente, os jogos. Pegou mesmo (apelido de vovô), ele também fica zoando. Eu falo para ele dar uma segurada, mas levo na brincadeira. Se eu zoo para caramba, também tenho que aturar a zoação. Eu sou só uns anos mais velho que ele, mas sou mais velho, então tem que aceitar. Estou muito feliz por ele estar jogando muito bem, pelo PSG também, espero que eles consigam conquistar essa Champions que o clube nunca conquistou em 50 anos de história. É um clube novo, mas que já vem merecendo há alguns anos. E esse ano eles têm totais condições. O time está muito unido e muito focado. Claro que tem um adversário difícil, o Bayern está muito bem, mas acredito que eles possam dar essa alegria aos torcedores.

Eu não estava entendendo nada porque estava demorando tanto. Ficou demorando o VAR para analisar a jogada, aí depois apitou a penalidade, aí coloquei a bola no cal e começou a demorar, demorar, demorar… Eu falei “ué”?! Como eu estava concentrado em bater o pênalti, que eu fico só olhando para um lugar, eu nem vi o que estava acontecendo. Depois que que vi que entrou outro jogador. Sempre falo que futebol é muito no hoje. Quando a molecada vem conversar, a gente sempre fala “daqui a três dias, já tem jogo”, tudo pode mudar, virar. Então, não é ficar muito se achando quando está sendo elogiado, nem ficar muito chateado se está sendo criticado, porque não é a realidade dos fatos. A gente sabe como é… É passional. Se faz o gol, é o Messi. Se não faz, o cara é horrível. Nenhuma das duas coisas é verdade. Tem que ter esse equilíbrio, estar sempre tranquilo, fazendo o trabalho. Estar com a consciência tranquila, dar o melhor de si a cada dia, em todos os dias nos treinos, nos jogos. Na hora que você tiver recebendo elogios, ficar também com o pé no chão. Bonitinho, tranquilinho… E quando acontecer uma crítica, ver o que pode estar sendo real, poder colocar para te motivar a melhorar e a demonstrar que aquela crítica não é a verdade, a realidade. E se realmente for uma coisa que está realmente te atrapalhando, ver que “preciso mudar tal coisa, melhorar nisso, naquilo, concentrar mais nisso, naquilo”. E continuar fazendo seu trabalho normalmente.

Eu acho nosso grupo muito qualificado. A gente sabe que vão ter muitos jogos neste ano, vai ser diferente, a gente vai jogar no Natal, Ano novo, vai começar outro ano… Então, realmente, a gente não pode pensar lá na frente, a gente tem que pensar jogo a jogo. Saber que cada jogo é uma final, como se fosse uma final de campeonato. Mas eu realmente acredito que o time possa estar entre os cinco, seis primeiros colocados. Se nós mantivermos a concentração, foco, intensidade, a gente sabe… Até porque os jogos estão muito mais equilibrados. Não tem jogo fora ou em casa praticamente. Não ter torcida, então, acho que a mentalidade vai ser uma coisa muito importante nesse ano, nesse campeonato. Jogar sem torcida já é uma coisa ruim, e o time que conseguir manter esse nível de foco, concentração… Detalhe, né?! Do primeiro ao último minuto, eu acho que pode fazer realmente fazer a diferença. Nós demonstramos isso contra três times que vão brigar lá em cima, já nas finais do Carioca também, mostramos que se o coletivo estiver todo junto, a união que esse time tem, é como se fosse uma família. Aqui não tem qualquer tipo de problema no grupo. Pelo contrário. A gente tem um ambiente maravilhoso. É uma coisa que também ajuda a gente surpreender, porque ninguém espera que a gente vai estar entre os seis, oito primeiros colocados. E acredito que a gente possa surpreender muita gente se a gente conseguir manter esse nível de concentração e união.
