Depois de período sem grande brilho no Grêmio, Douglas Costa vem de um ano melhor na MLS
Na última semana o Fluminense acertou a contratação de Douglas Costa para compor o elenco durante a temporada de 2024. O atacante que teve grande destaque quando atuava no Bayern e na Juventos, onde chegou a ser convocado para a Copa de 2018. O atleta retornou ao Grêmio em 2021 e após viver um ano abaixo se transferiu para o LA Galaxy.
Atuando pelo time norte-americano, Douglas Costa viveu duas temporadas distintas. No seu primeiro ano na Califórnia, o atacante atuou em 29 partidas, marcou quatro gols e deu um assistência. No ano seguinte, apesar do seu time não se classificar para os playoffs da liga, o atleta viveu um ano melhor. Foram um total de 26 partidas, quatro gols e sete assistências.
Antes de fechar com o Fluminense, Douglas Costa estava muito próximo de fechar com o Samsunspor, da Turquia, mas após receber o contato do tricolor desistiu do time russo. No Flu, ele vai assinar um contrato de produtividade, com premiação em caso de títulos.
