Após duas vitórias em 18 jogos, Flu demite Hylmer Dias, técnico do vôlei feminino
Hylmer Dias não é mais técnico do time adulto feminino de vôlei do Fluminense. A Diretoria de Esportes Olímpicos do tricolor decidiu pela demissão do treinador diante dos resultados negativos na Superliga 2020/2021.
O comandante encerra um ciclo de 21 anos no clube, por onde conquistou títulos em todas as categorias de base do clube. Hylmer também seguiu como assistente técnico de Bernardinho durante 12 anos, mas saiu para assumir a equipe adulta do Flu na estreia da Superliga em 2016.
Na atual temporada, o Fluminense sofre inúmeras dificuldades. Um dos últimos elencos a ser formado, foram poucas semanas de treino até a estreia na Superliga. Mesmo assim, lesões e casos de Covid-19 até hoje fazem com que o grupo entre em quadra sem a formação ideal. A campeã olímpica Mari, última contratada, só estreou dois meses depois de sua chegada. O time passa pela sua pior campanha na história da competição, com apenas duas vitórias em 18 partidas realizadas. O time tem grande risco de ser rebaixado, não dependendo apenas dele para permanecer na elite do voleibol nacional.

O auxiliar técnico Guilherme Schmitz assume o comando da equipe até o fim da competição. Técnico das categorias juvenil e infantil do Tricolor e assistente técnico da seleção brasileira feminina sub-20, Guilherme esteve à frente do Fluminense nas duas vitórias conquistadas pelo time na atual edição da Superliga, contra São Caetano e Esporte Clube Pinheiros.
