Os moleques de Xerém fizeram mais uma vez, um ano de muito sucesso no time principal do Fluminense. Com gols, assistências, roubadas de bola, participações em gol, as promessas do Tricolor são sempre destaques positivos e que vem ajudando imensamente o clube nos últimos anos.
Ao todo, 23 dos 49 atletas que o Fluminense teve em seu elenco na temporada de 2022 foram oriundos das categorias de base do clube. Isso corresponde a 46,9% do plantel tricolor. O levantamento foi feito apenas com atletas que foram relacionados para partidas oficiais do time.

Dos mais utilizados e conhecidos, temos André, Martinelli, Caio Paulista, Matheus Martins, Luiz Henrique (que foi embora no meio do ano), Marcos Felipe, John Kennedy, Calegari, Alan, Pedro Rangel, Luan Freitas e Alexsander. Esse último, fez a sua estreia nas últimas partidas do Brasileirão e encantou o técnico Fernando Diniz, que o promoveu a titular na lateral esquerda. Para os leitores e torcedores que acompanham a base tricolor há mais tempo, já se sabia do grande potencial que o jovem tinha. Gabriel Teixeira, como iniciou a temporada e chegou a jogar alguns jogos antes de ser emprestado ao Grêmio, também entrou nessa lista.
Ainda em 2022, mas no Campeonato Carioca, tivemos a estreia de vários moleques de Xerém na equipe principal ainda com o Abel Braga no comando. Gabryel Martins, Marcos Pedro, Jhonny, Marcelinho e Edinho fizeram seus primeiros jogos com a camisa tricolor. Esses dois últimos, vieram ainda na base de outras equipes – Serra Macarense-RJ e Atlético Tubarão-PR, respectivamente.
Alguns garotos foram relacionados para jogos no profissional, mas não tiveram (ainda) a oportunidade de fazer suas estreias com a armadura verde, branca e grená. Foram eles: o goleiro Gustavo Ramalho, os zagueiros Cipriano e Davi, o meia Yago Ferreira e o atacante Cauã Aguiar. A tendência é que eles voltem a ganhar algumas oportunidades, além do Sub-23, no Campeonato Carioca, uma vez que a equipe principal estará disputando a fase de grupos da Libertadores.
