Como diria Nelson Rodrigues, se vivo estivesse é claro, estava escrito há 40 mil anos que o Presidente Mario Bittencourt seria reeleito para mais três anos na presidência do nosso Fluminense. Alguns fatos concorreram para que isso acontecesse com grande tranquilidade. O primeiro deles e o mais importante é que ele, apesar de erros, alguns graves, no cômputo geral teve uma administração que não foi nenhuma “ Brastemp”, foi boa, bem mais do que o esperado, principalmente na parte financeira. Um exemplo disso foi o fato de que sua administração não atrasou o pagamento salarial dos jogadores, fato bem comum até então, pelo menos por cinco anos e tão pouco dispensou jogadores pela Internet ou pelo “WhatsApp” (o que causou um dos maiores prejuízos na história do nosso clube em todos os tempos), como vimos na administração fatídica do Sr. Pedro Abad, que já entrou para a história tricolor pela porta dos fundos.
Outra coisa que contribuiu para “este banho” eleitoral que vimos nas urnas foi a péssima organização da oposição, aliás mais uma, desde sempre, não aprendem. Depois do fato ocorrido, ou seja, a confirmação da histórica “goleada” na votação, escuta-se a mesma ladainha de sempre. “Se estivéssemos unidos o resultado poderia ser outro, muito mais apertado, ou até quem sabe uma vitória o que eu não acredito de maneira nenhuma. Porém, como diz aquele samba enredo, “sonhar não custa nada, ninguém paga para sonhar”.
Por que coloquei no título deste artigo SEGUNDO MANDATO? Por uma razão simples: o último presidente reeleito foi o DR. Peter Siemens, que fez um bom trabalho na primeira eleição, com muito mais acertos do que erros, mas se perdeu quase completamente no seu segundo mandato, metendo inúmeras vezes os pés pelas mãos. No final da sua gestão apoiou integralmente o Sr. Pedro Abad e a sua “trupe”, a indefectível “Flu sócio”, seu erro mais grotesco. Hoje o Presidente Mario Bittencourt assume para o seguimento do seu trabalho, um outro Fluminense inteiramente diferente, muito mais acessível do anterior, embora ainda existam inúmeras pendências financeiras preocupantes. O nosso Tricolor ainda levará alguns anos para normalizar sua situação financeira.
Por outro lado, a nossa campanha este ano, apesar do fiasco na Libertadores da América, financeiramente não poderia ser melhor. Campeão Carioca, Semi finalista na Copa do Brasil e um terceiro lugar no Campeonato Brasileiro, inimaginável no começo desta competição, nos rendeu quase 100 milhões de reais, o que significa dizer que a corda no nosso pescoço deu uma bela afrouxada. Renovamos com o Fernando Diniz, que aliás mostrou seu grande caráter, coisa raríssima entre os técnicos atuais no mundo, ao recusar propostas muito mais vantajosas de outros clubes como o Corinthians e o Atlético Mineiro, por ter dado a sua palavra ao presidente Mario Bittencourt de que renovaria seu vínculo com o Tricolor.
Precisamos de reforços, é claro, para vencermos mais este ano, porém mais importante do que isto é mantermos a nossa excelente espinha dorsal. Nino, André, Paulo Henrique Ganso, Jhon Arias e o German Cano. Alguns já renovaram contratos, como o Cano e o André e os outros estão perto disso. Depois vamos à luta para reforçar o elenco, sem loucuras, pois nossa situação financeira não nos permite sair por aí gastando o que temos e principalmente o que NÃO temos. Não podemos errar nas contrações, temos que acertar na mosca, o que não é nada fácil.
