Nos pênaltis, Fluminense perde para o Vasco e fica com o vice da Recopa Sub-20
Fluminense e Vasco se enfrentaram na tarde deste sábado (28), às 15h em São Januário. A partida valeu a taça da Recopa Carioca, disputada entre o campeão do Campeonato Carioca e da Copa Rio. Em uma parida disputada, o Tricolor ficou no empate no tempo regulamentar e amargurou o vice-campeonato nos pênaltis.
Após uma primeira etapa sem gols, o Fluminense começou com tudo no segundo tempo. O técnico Ricardo Resende deixou a equipe mais ofensiva, que conseguiu ditar o ritmo da partida e pressionar o Vasco. Aos 8 minutos, a pressão deu certo. Thiago recebeu dentro da grande área e cruzou para João Lourenço, que fuzilou para o fundo das redes.
Com o placar aberto, o Vasco começou a pressionar o time do Fluminense, que se fechou e buscava sair em velocidade para matar o jogo. Até que, no último minuto da partida, em um cruzamento na área, Alexandre subiu mais alto que a defesa Tricolor e testou para o gol, levando a partida para os pênaltis.

Nas penalidades, os cobradores de ambos os times estavam com os pés calibrados. Na décima cobrança Tricolor, Loiola bateu para fora e Leo, do Vasco converteu e conquistou a taça para o Cruzmaltino.
A equipe Sub-20 encerrou as competições no ano. O próximo compromisso do time de Ricardo Resende é a Copinha, no início de 2024.
