Hoje, o time sub-23 do Fluminense (também conhecido como time de aspirantes) terá o seu primeiro teste oficial depois de tanto tempo de treinamento. Os comandados de Marcão irão enfrentar o sub-20 do Botafogo, às 15h, antes do amistoso principal entre as equipes, na partida que será no estilo das “preliminares”, muito comuns nos estádios cariocas no fim dos anos 90 e nos anos 2000.
O SporTV vai transmitir o confronto, uma boa oportunidade para o torcedor tricolor observar os jovens, que quem sabe, podem vir a ser peças importantes no elenco principal. O jogo será no Estádio Nilton Santos.

Ao longo da semana, Marcão começou a dar cara à equipe. O elenco Sub-23 conta com cerca de 30 jogadores, que têm sido divididos em dois grupos. Um tem treinado no mesmo horário dos profissionais e o outro em horário diferente.
Dentre os que estão treinando simultaneamente ao elenco principal e saem na frente na equipe Sub-23 estão: os goleiros João Lopes e Pedro Rangel; os laterais Calegari, Daniel e Guilherme; os zagueiros Luan, Higor e Caio Vinícius; os meias André, Martinelli, Nascimento e Gabriel Capixaba; e os atacantes Luis Henrique, Lucas Ribeiro (Macula) e Lucas Barcelos.
Também compõem o elenco Sub-23: Paulo Filho (GOL), Diogo (LD), Wisney (LD), Zé Ricardo (VOL), Matheus Cassini (MEI), Wallace (MEI), Denilson (MEI), Christian (ATA), Matheus Pato (ATA), Ruan (ATA) e Samuel (ATA). Alguns deles completarão a lista de relacionados para a preliminar.
Estão fora de combate: Caio Vitor (ATA), com lesão no joelho, Paulo Victor (VOL) e Geovani (ZAG), que se recuperam de contusões musculares, e Marcelo Pitaluga (GOL), que ainda não voltou aos treinos de campo em razão de uma fratura na mão.
Para esse jogo, o meia John Kennedy, de 17 anos, que vem sendo alvo do Benfica, foi relacionado por Marcão e irá para o jogo também.
