O Fluminense começa na próxima segunda-feira a busca do título Mundial, o time de guerreiros enfrenta o Al Ahly na semifinal às 15h. No elenco que viajou para a Arábia Saudita, o tricolor possui quatro jogadores qua já participaram da competição: Cano, Ganso, Felipe Melo e Marcelo. Dentre eles, o lateral esquerdo é o único que já conquistou o título. Leo Fernández também já participou, mas o meia acabou ficando de fora da lista

Atuando pelo Real Madrid, o pentacampeão da Champions League participou do Mundial de Clubes em quatro ocasiões e conquistou todas. O lateral esquerdo foi titular em todos os jogos disputados.
Paulo Henrique Ganso:
O maestro tricolor participou uma vez do torneio, em 2011. Após ser campeão da Libertadores pelo Santos, Ganso acabou sendo vice campeão Mundial após perder de 4 a 0 pro Barcelona.

Germán Cano:
O artilheiro, Germán Cano, participou da competição em 2017 quando ainda atuava pelo Pachuca-MEX. Das três partidas que o time fez no Mundial, Cano foi relacionado em apenas uma delas e seu time perdeu para o Grêmio na semifinal e depois ficou com o terceiro lugar. Sua única partida foi justamente contra o time gaúcho.
Felipe Melo:
Felipe Melo foi quem teve a pior participação entre os atletas do Flu. Em 2021, quando ainda atuava pelo Palmeiras, o zagueiro tricolor acabou ficando na quarta colocação. Na semifinal ele não foi titular e na disputa de terceiro lugar atuou como volante.
