O futebol brasileiro vive um impasse em relação a criação de uma Liga para comandar o Campeonato Brasileiro. O Grupo formado pelas 25 agremiações com pensamentos diferentes á LIBRA se reuniram na sede da CBF para debaterem sobre a divisão de receitas de direitos de televisão.
Encabeçados por Fluminense, Atlético Mineiro, Athletico Paranaense, Internacional, Fortaleza, América Mineiro e Atletico Goianiense, o grupo não aceita as condições propostas pela LIBRA. Isso indica que, esse novo grupo que ainda tem um nome fixo constituirão um estatuto em evento a ser realizado.
Como há dois blocos, o grupo que o Fluminense participa convidarão alguns clubes da LIBRA. Mas antes serão debatidos entre eles quais clubes farão parte desse novo bloco. O entrave está relacionada a divisão de cotas. A luta desse novo grupo é que não haja disparidade financeira. Ou seja, um clube receber 10x mais que o outro.

O mandatário tricolor falou com a ESPN sobre os rumos que o novo bloco tomará.
“Nosso grupo buscou contato com o grupo que já está formalizado (Libra) do outro lado, para que a gente pudesse discutir as nossas ideias, não tivemos inicialmente ainda um encontro, uma receptividade. A gente está buscando então formalizar o nosso grupo, debater as nossas ideias internamente, para depois tentar buscar uma composição (com a Libra)”
Mário Bittencourt ainda disse que o grupo contratou duas empresas para avaliar a criação da Liga, mas explicou o motivo de não ter ido mais adiante.
“Todos nós desejamos a criação de uma liga. Entretanto, a maior quantidade de clubes entende que o modelo proposto pelo grupo que criou sua associação lá (Libra), sua liga, que aquele modelo vai manter ou até mesmo acentuar as diferenças de distribuição de receitas do futebol brasileiro dos últimos anos. O que a gente tenta sentar para discutir é que a gente contratou duas empresas de consultoria que demonstram por números, tecnicamente, o que a gente acredita ser mais factível, mais justo”
Porém, o novo grupo pretende vender os direitos de televisão separado do outro grupo. Mas como ficaria a transmissão com o rival do outro bloco? O presidente tricolor explicou esse “imbróglio”
“Acho que, desde o início, isso está muito claro. Se não for formalizada uma liga com todos os clubes, no final das contas, vão acabar tendo um ou dois grupos vendendo direitos comerciais. Mas isso é uma discussão para o futuro também, temos contratos com dois anos de duração”
Entretanto, não está descartado uma reunião com a Libra. Bittencourt explicou que, o grupo só quer ser ouvido ao expor suas opiniões sobre a “futura” Liga com a LIBRA.
“Há a possibilidade de composição sempre, óbvio que sim. Acho que a gente vai caminhar para isso no futuro. Mas a gente minimamente gostaria de expor nossas ideias e ser ouvido”
