Mário Bittencourt afirma acreditar em título da Libertadores: “A gente tem chances sim”
O presidente Mário Bittencourt, em entrevista ao Boteco Tricolor, falou sobre as chances de título da Libertadores. De acordo com o presidente, conquistar o Torneio é mais fácil que o Campeonato Brasileiro. Sobretudo para as equipes com menor poder de investimento.
“Vai parecer um contrassenso o que eu vou falar, mas vocês vão ficar esperançosas. Atingir o título da Libertadores é mais fácil — quando você está em dificuldades financeiras — do que no Brasileiro. Isso porque o Campeonato Brasileiro é muito longo, dura quase um ano e quando você atinge o ‘Triângulo das Bermudas’ — ali pela 33ª rodadas — começa a ter uma série de contusões e tudo mais”, disse o presidente.
Para Mário Bittencourt — embora a Libertadores decida o título também só no fim da temporada — há mais tempo entre os jogos. Além de dois formatos distintos. E, para corroborar com seu argumento, o dirigente citou os times da Argentina que frequentemente tem chegado as fases decisivas mesmo com um poderio econômico menor que o dos brasileiros.
“E a Libertadores tem fase de grupos, tem mata-mata. Eu não sei se vocês sabem, mas os clubes argentinos, que estão chegando as fases finais, tem orçamentos que os brasileiros que disputam. Isso significa que é uma competição que a gente tem chances sim, de ser campeão. Porque temos uma base sólida e jogadores identificados. Porque isso que os clubes da América do Sul buscam: identificação com a instituição, com a camisa, com o escudo. Então, a gente está bem animado sim”, completou.
O presidente está, no momento, concedente uma entrevista ao Boteco Tricolor. O programa é um aquecimento para a partida contra o Fortaleza nesta quinta-feira (25), às 21:30h, no Maracanã.
