Luccas Claro atingiu uma marca importante com a camisa tricolor. O zagueiro, anunciado em setembro de 2019, – juntamente com o ex-lateral tricolor Orinho – chegou aos 80 jogos com a camisa do Fluminense na última terça (7), da vitória contra a Chapecoense. O zagueiro, que chegou sem tanto prestígio, foi uma das peças-chave para levar o Tricolor de volta à Libertadores na última temporada, depois de oito anos.

Próximo a completar dois anos no clube, o zagueiro não teve tanto espaço no elenco titular em seu início, tanto que, em sua primeira temporada nas Laranjeiras, Luccas só atuou por duas partidas. Sua estreia ocorreu somente no início de dezembro de 2019, no empate por 1 a 1 contra o Avaí. Após, Luccas voltou a ser titular na última partida daquela temporada, na vitória por 2×1 diante do Corinthians, fora de casa – partida que foi decidida com dois gols de Evanílson.

“Realmente é difícil, ainda mais para o defensor, passar um campeonato inteiro sem levar amarelo. O segredo é o trabalho, estar bem fisicamente, estar sempre bem posicionado. Na parte ofensiva, a gente está sempre na primeira marcação e isso faz com que a equipe toda esteja sempre bem posicionada. Às vezes é inevitável, pois precisamos fazer uma falta tática, e se precisar fazer eu vou fazer. Mas acho que o segredo é o bom posicionamento, o trabalho tático, que tem ajudado muito nosso sistema defensivo a ter um bom desempenho”
O zagueiro de 29 anos chegou ao Fluminense com contrato válido até o final de 2020. No entanto, no exato dia em que completou um ano de casa, acertou a sua renovação por mais duas temporadas. Agora, Luccas tem contrato com o Fluminense até o final de 2022.
