O Fluminense assinou o primeiro contrato profissional com mais um Moleque de Xerém. Desta vez, foi o atacante Luan Brito, artilheiro da equipe no Carioca Sub-20 com três gols e filho do ex-jogador do clube e atual supervisor de futebol feminino tricolor, Marco Brito. O jovem atleta, cujo contrato anterior era de amador, assinou com o clube nesta segunda-feira até o final de 2022, com uma multa rescisória de € 30 milhões (cerca de R$ 200 milhões ) para o mercado internacional
Artilheiro do Carioca Sub-20 ao lado de seu companheiro de equipe Gabriel Conceição, Luan tem sido relacionado para jogos do time no Brasileiro da categoria. Devido a paralisação do futebol pela pandemia do coronavírus, os jogos das duas competições tem acontecido até em dias seguidos. Dessa forma, o Flu tem utilizado dois times, um para cada competição.
Luan Brito chegou ao Fluminense em 2018, vindo das categorias de base do Flamengo e do Barra da Tijuca. No mesmo ano, sofreu uma lesão no joelho e ficou seis meses sem entrar em campo. Voltou a atuar em 2019 no Sub-17 tricolor.
