Flúnel do tempo: Romário faz hattrick e Flu goleia o Botafogo no Carioca
Em 2003, Romário comandava o ataque tricolor. O baixinho estava de saída do clube e faria sua despedida no clássico contra o Botafogo. Aclamado pela torcida, o camisa 11 se despediu no melhor estilo possível: marcou um hattrick. Ele comandou a goleada por 5-0 diante do rival.
Tudo começou no início do segundo tempo com uma cobrança de pênalti. Romário pegou a bola e bateu alto no canto esquerdo: Flu 1-0. O segundo não tardou. Carlos Alberto (ele mesmo!) chutou forte e o goleiro Max largou. O rebote sobrou nos pés de Alex Oliveira, que não perdoou. Flu 2-0 para delíri. da torcida tricolor no Maracanã. O terceiro também não demorou. O baixinho recebeu na entrada da área e já cortou pra perna esquerda, mas, com a direita, deu um leve toque por cima do goleiro. Flu 3-0 e a goleada se desenhava.
O Flu continuou pressionando. E o quarto gol não demorou a sair. Jancarlos fez boa jogada pela direita e cruzou para Fabio Bala testar para a rede. Flu 4-0 e goleada formada. E o quinto tinha que ser dele. Romário aproveitou a falha da defesa após lançamento longo e arrancou sozinho para o gol pela ponta direita. O baixinho esperou Max sair e tocou no canto do goleiro botafoguense. Flu 5-0!
