Fluminense vence nos pênaltis e é campeão do Carioca Feminino Sub-17
No último final de semana, as Meninas de Xerém garantiram mais uma taça pra Sala de Troféus das Laranjeiras. Após empate no tempo regulamentar, a decisão do Carioca Feminino Sub-17 foi para as cobranças de pênaltis e o Fluminense levou a melhor. Com duas defesas de Thaina e cobranças perfeitas, o Tricolor se sagrou campeão estadual pelo segundo ano consecutivo.
Este é o terceiro título do futebol feminino tricolor, todos conquistados pela base. Em 2020, foram campeãs do Brasileirão Sub-18, o primeiro troféu a ser levantado pela modalidade. Em 2021, venceram o Carioca Sub-18, também contra o Flamengo e nos pênaltis. Com isso, o Flu encerra sua quarta temporada com três taças levantadas.
Fluminense e Flamengo passaram com tranquilidade pelas semifinais, derrotando Vasco e Rio de Janeiro, respectivamente. Contudo, a final seria em jogo único, o que aumentava o grau de nervosismo que envolvia o clássico decisivo. No entanto, o que se viu no gramado da Gávea foi um futebol bem jogado, com repertório, fair play e qualidade técnica. Um dos destaques foram as goleiras, que mostraram segurança nos fundamentos e corresponderam quando foram exigidas. Tanto Thaina, do Flu, quanto Isabela, do Fla, tiveram um ótimo desempenho.

Os 80 minutos foram equilibrados, com as equipes alternando melhores momentos, mas sem conseguir o domínio das ações por muito tempo. Na primeira etapa, as equipes pararam nas defesas adversárias, mas foi o Flamengo que deu o primeiro susto, quando a bola sobrou na área e a atacante tentou a finalização, mas Mariana D’Avila salvou com o corpo em cima da linha para evitar o gol rubro-negro. Já o Fluminense, tentou furar a marcação principalmente com as bolas longas acionando Sandy e Tharsila.
Os times voltaram com tudo no segundo tempo, as comandadas de Douglas Matsumoto começaram melhor e tiveram a primeira chance depois do intervalo com uma cabeçada de Sarah, que terminou com a defesa de Isabela. Depois disso, viram o domínio da partida cair nas mãos do Flamengo, que encontrou resistência nas defesas de Thaina e nos cortes seguros de Mariana e Sarah. No entanto, com cerca de 15 minutos, o Fla abriu o placar após finalização de Kailane Vieira, que tirou a marcação e bateu no canto direito.
Mesmo atrás no placar, as Meninas de Xerém mantiveram a confiança e a resposta tricolor veio em seguida, com um gol contra de Janaina depois de uma bola levantada na área. Aos 39, o Fluminense ainda teve um gol de barriga, marcado por Natalia, anulado pela arbitragem, que deu falta na disputa de bola vinda do escanteio. As rivais ainda tentaram uma finalização no último lance, mas a bola saiu em linha de fundo.
Os pênaltis
O Flamengo foi quem começou batendo e a atacante Ingrid abriu as cobranças, convertendo a primeira penalidade. Depois, Sandy converteu para o Flu e deixou tudo igual. Foi na segunda cobrança que a estrela de Thaina brilhou mais forte, ao defender a batida de Tocantins, colocando o time na frente pelo título.
Em seguida, pelo Tricolor, Mariana, Duda Calazans e Sarah também balançaram as redes, chamando atenção pela segurança nas batidas. Do lado de lá, Larissa e Kailane acertaram as cobranças e a zagueira Fabiane errou a última, novamente defendida por Thaina. Com isso, Tharsila, a artilheira do Flu e da competição, não precisou realizar sua cobrança para confirmar o título.
