Fluminense busca se tornar o melhor do país no Go Cup
Molecada do Sub-12 vai em busca do sétimo título da tradicional competição de base
O Fluminense está confirmado no Go Cup deste ano e participará da competição com a equipe Sub-12. Maior vencedor do Rio de Janeiro do torneio, com seis conquistas, o Tricolor busca se tornar o maior vencedor da competição no Brasil, ao lado do Grêmio. O time está em fase final de preparação no CT Vale das Laranjeiras, em Xerém, e embarca neste sábado (09/04) para Goiás.
“É uma competição tradicional e neste ano vamos com nossa equipe Sub-12. Anteriormente, optamos por levar nossos meninos que ainda estavam na transição do futsal para o campo, mas desta vez vamos com a molecada que já está aqui conosco em Xerém. Entendemos que é uma boa oportunidade para os meninos vivenciarem uma experiência diferente, uma viagem com a delegação em um torneio com muitas equipes”, explicou o vice-presidente da base, Rui Reisinger.

O Go Cup será realizado em Aparecida de Goiânia (GO), entre os dias 9 a 16 de abril. Mais de 200 equipes estão confirmadas para a 8ª edição do torneio, divididas em oito categorias, que vão do Sub-7 ao Sub-13. Campeão pelo Fluminense em 2015, o volante Alexsander, que atua no Sub-20 e na Seleção Brasileira da categoria, comentou a importância da competição no início da sua formação. O jogador conquistou o título Sub-12 com uma equipe que contava com integrantes da Geração dos Sonhos como Cayo Felipe, Pedro Rocha e Kayky.
“Tenho boas lembranças do GO Cup. Lembro de ter ficado muito feliz em viajar e disputar uma competição pelo Fluminense. Nosso time era bem forte e conseguimos o título. É uma competição bem legal, que oferece oportunidade para muita criança jogar, se divertir e se desenvolver”, lembrou Alexsander.
Jogador mais novo a vestir a camisa profissional do Fluminense e camisa 10 da Seleção Brasileira de base desde os 14 anos, o meia Arthur conquistou o Go Cup Sub-12 em 2017. O Príncipe de Xerém acredita que a competição é, muitas vezes, a primeira grande chance dos jovens jogadores conhecerem escolas de futebol diferentes de todo o Brasil e do exterior.
“O Go Cup é uma grande competição. São muitos jogos, muitas crianças, achei muito legal. Foi uma experiência incrível, uma oportunidade de nos desenvolver. Lembro que fomos campeões, enfrentamos bons times e conseguimos voltar para o Rio com a taça. Quero aproveitar e desejar boa sorte para a molecadinha que está indo nos representar neste ano. Que eles consigam nosso sétimo título, e o mais importante, que desfrutem e aprendam bastante com a competição”, disse o meia Arthur.
O Fluminense conquistou o Go Cup em 2015, com a categoria Sub-12; Em 2017 com o Sub-8, Sub-9 e Sub-12; e em 2018, com o Sub-17 e Sub-10. Além de Arthur e Alexsander, jogadores conhecidos da torcida tricolor como Cayo Felipe, Pedro Rocha, Kayky, Praxedes, Miguel Silveira, Davi, Kayky Almeida, Gustavo Lobo, Agner, Miguel Lopes e Luan Maricá também foram campeões da competição.
