Fluminense apresenta primeiro dueto masculino de nado artístico
Primeiro clube da América Latina a criar uma equipe masculina de nado artístico, o Fluminense voltou a fazer história na modalidade. Os atletas do clube Fabiano Ferreira e Kennedy Lima formaram o primeiro dueto masculino de nado artístico do continente. A parceria fez sua estreia com uma apresentação no Festival Internacional de Nado Artístico Master, realizado no Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, nos dias 16 e 17 de outubro.
“Somos pioneiros no nado artístico masculino. Montamos a primeira equipe e agora criamos o primeiro dueto. Estamos brigando pelo nosso espaço no nado artístico e queremos consolidar a participação dos homens na modalidade, deixar um legado para as próximas gerações”, disse Fabiano.

O nado artístico faz parte do programa dos Jogos Olímpicos desde 1984, em Los Angeles (EUA), no entanto, com provas exclusivamente femininas. A primeira participação masculina em uma competição oficial foi no Campeonato Mundial de Kazan, na Rússia, em 2015, com a disputa do dueto misto.
A expectativa agora é que a participação masculina faça sua estreia nos Jogos Paris 2024.
“Queremos acabar com a ideia de que o nado artístico é apenas para mulheres. Esporte é feito para pessoas. O nado artístico sempre foi muito bem representado pelas mulheres, mas por que não abrir portas para os homens e fazer a modalidade crescer. Queremos trazer essa visibilidade para a modalidade para que outros homens vejam e se envolvam também”, finalizou Kennedy.
