Diferente da semana passada, Fluminense não deve encontrar dificuldades para enfrentar Junior Barranquilla na Colômbia
Na próxima quinta-feira (06), às 19h, o Fluminense enfrenta o Junior Barranquilla na Colômbia pela terceira rodada da fase de grupos da Libertadores. Embora o país vizinho ainda esteja em alerta por conta da pandemia, o Tricolor deve encontrar menos dificuldade que na semana passada — quando a partida contra o Santa Fé teve a sede alterada para outra cidade às vésperas do confronto. Jornais colombianos destacam que Barranquilla tem o maior número de vacinados até o momento.
Segundo o prefeito de Barranquilla, Jaime Pumarejo, cerca de 200 mil (10% da população) já receberam a vacina contra a COVID19. A capital do departamento de Atlántico, no norte do país, já esteve em alerta vermelho no início de Abril e recentemente decretou confinamento durante o último fim de semana. Mas, hoje segue o plano de reabertura da economia. Aglomerações, festas e o consumo de bebidas alcoólicas em lugares públicos seguem proibidos. Além disso, ainda há um toque de recolher entre às 18h e às 5h. No entanto, eventos esportivos estão liberados.
A situação é bem diferente da que o Flu viveu semana passada. A capital Bogotá — que vive uma situação crítica em relação a ocupação de leitos de UTI — proibiu a realização de jogos assim que o Tricolor desembarcou. Por isso, o clube ainda precisou fretar mais um voo (pago pelo Santa Fé) até a cidade Armênia, onde venceu Los Cardinales por 2 a 1 com dois gols de Fred.

De acordo com o Mapa da Universidade John Hoppinks, dos Estados Unidos, a Colômbia está na 12ª posição no ranking mundial de casos de COVID19, com mais de 2,9 milhões de contaminados — atrás apenas de Brasil e Argentina na América do Sul. Além disso, o país já registrou mais 75 mil mortes pelo novo coronavírus (o nono com mais óbitos no mundo).
Na Colômbia, Junior vai enfrentar o Fluminense no outro estádio de Barranquilla
Contudo, o Papa não vai poder mandar o jogo em sua tradicional casa. Isso porque o Estádio Metropolitano Roberto Meléndez — que também é a casa da Seleção Colombiana — está passando por reformas para a Copa América. O evento seria realizado em 2020, mas precisou ser adiado para 2021 por causa da pandemia da COVID19. O clube, portanto, vem atuando no pequeno Romelio Martínez, também em Barranquilla.
No Estádio, o Junior Barranquilla venceu o Caracas, da Venezuela, e Bolivar, da Bolívia, pela pré-Libertadores, além de estrear empatando em 1 a 1 com o Santa Fé, também da Colômbia, na fase de grupos. Contando Torneio Apertura e Libertadores, Los Tiburones possuem 69,4% de aproveitamento jogando em casa.
