Mas — após as duas eliminações — a equipe goiana tem grandes chances de cair para a Série B.De acordo com o Infobola, do matemático Tristão Garcia, a equipe hoje comandado pelo interino Eduardo Souza tem 92% de chances de ser rebaixado. Apesar vitória fora de casa sobre o Avaí, os campineiros ainda estão em penúltimo, com apenas 25 pontos em 29 partidas e a seis do Ceará, primeiro time fora do Z4.
Para a partida contra o Fluminense, Eduardo Souza vai ter um único, mas importante desfalque. O meia-atacante Wellington Rato, artilheiro do time no Brasileirão com sete gols, cumpre suspensão pelo terceiro amarelo. Ou Shaylon ou Jorginho deve entrar no lugar.
