Por vários fatores, o mais importante deles é que naquela altura da partida o time Goianiense tinha o domínio completo. O gol deles da virada era apenas uma questão de tempo. Não tinha o menor sentido o André jogar de zagueiro. Se os jogadores do Atlético ganhavam todas as bolas na nossa área antes, com dois zagueiros altos, não seria o André com seus um metro e setenta e poucos que iria mudar a história, principalmente por causa da altura dos jogadores deles. O André batia no umbigo deles. Fernando Diniz (teimoso) argumentou que este tipo de mudança brusca, recuar um jogador de meio campo para a zaga, deu certo por exemplo contra o Santos, o Fluminense virou o resultado. Só que as circunstâncias foram bem distintas. O Santos estava jogando na defesa, o que o Atlético não dez um minuto sequer.
Com tudo isso que escrevi acima, Fernando Diniz tem muito crédito a seu favor. A classificação atual do Tricolor deve-se em grande parte a ele, isto ninguém discute, nem os tricolores mais radicais. Com falhas ou não o time tem um esquema de jogo. Como já disse várias vezes, temos um bom time que não fica nada a dever a muitos deles, o elenco é escasso ao extremo. E em algumas posições nem isso temos. Perdemos muito quando o Arias e o Ganso saem do time, são INSUSBSTITUÍVEIS, não têm nem sombra de reservas. Tomara que eu esteja redondamente enganado: vamos sofrer mais ainda nesta reta final. Dependeremos muito da nossa parte física. Alguns titulares já deram claramente sinais de desgaste.
