Conmebol reduz pena de Rodolfo e revoga multa – atleta poderá voltar aos treinos em março de 21
A câmara de apelação de Conmebol acatou o pedido do recurso de Rodolfo e reduziu a sua pena para dois anos de suspensão, além de revogar a multa imposta de U$ 20 mil. O resultado saiu nesta segunda. Na decisão original, o goleiro foi suspenso por três anos (agora reduzida para dois),e foi proferia no dia 20 de dezembro. A decisão também anulou a obrigação do jogador submeter-se a controles mensais de dopagem.
O goleiro tricolor, cujo vínculo vai até 31 de dezembro de 2021, foi flagrado no dopping no jogo de 23 de maio do ano passado, depois da vitória por 4 a 1 sobre o Atlético Nacional de Medellín, da Colômbia, pela Sul-Americana – quando ficou na reserva. Após o primeiro resultado, o goleiro abriu mão da contraprova e se colocou automaticamente suspenso. Na ocasião, o Flu emitiu a seguinte nota:
“O Fluminense Football Club informa que o goleiro Rodolfo Alves de Melo foi flagrado no exame antidoping após a partida Fluminense x Atlético Nacional (COL), pela Sul-Americana, realizada em 23 de maio de 2019 no Maracanã. O clube e o atleta já realizaram uma reunião e uma petição foi apresentada à Conmebol, onde o jogador abriu mão da contraprova se colocando suspenso voluntariamente, para se dedicar exclusivamente à sua defesa. O Fluminense já colocou seu Departamento Jurídico à disposição do jogador que, por norma legal, teve o contrato de trabalho suspenso. A instituição dará todo o suporte necessário ao atleta.”
Pela decisão, o goleiro seria liberado para voltar a treinar em 23 de março de 2021, período anterior ao fim da suspensão destinado a reinserção do atleta no no âmbito desportivo.
