O Fluminense, Fernando Diniz e Felipe Melo foram multados pela Conmebol por infrações cometidas no jogo contra o River Plate, no Monumental. O zagueiro foi advertido por ter imitado uma galinha para provocar a torcida adversária. Enquanto, o clube e o treinador pela demora na volta do intervalo.
O jogador infringiu o artigo 11.2 do Código Disciplinário da Conmebol por conduta antidesportiva. Com isso, será cobrada uma multa de US$ 5 mil, aproximadamente R$ 24 mil. O camisa 30 ainda ironizou a punição, falando dos atos racistas da torcida do River.
“Galinha não pode, MACACO ESTÁ LIBERADO?? #vergonha”, escreveu Felipe Melo.

Já Diniz e Fluminense, desrespeitaram o artigo 5.1.11.6 do Manual de Clubes da Conmebol. Ele prevê uma multa de US$ 50 mil, mais de R$ 240 mil. Esse valor é descontado automaticamente do valor que o clube vai receber da Conmebol e caso queira recorrer, terá sete dias apresentar a queixa.
