Campeonato Carioca terá VAR somente nos clássicos e nas fases decisivas
Nesta terça-feira (25/01), será dado o pontapé inicial do Campeonato Carioca com a partida entre Boavista x Botafogo. Segundo maior campeão do torneio, o Fluminense estreia na quinta-feira, dia 27. Seguindo o padrão das últimas edições, o Carioca 2022 só terá a presença de VAR nos clássicos e nos confrontos a partir das semifinais da fase final. A informação foi divulgada pelo Jornal O Dia.
O VAR passou a ser adotado na edição de 2019 do Campeonato Carioca. Na primeira experiência do recurso de arbitragem no competição estadual do Rio de Janeiro, dez jogos contaram com a tecnologia, sendo as semifinais e finais de turno. Na edição seguinte, além das disputas mata-mata, os clássicos envolvendo os quatro grandes cariocas também foram contemplados. No Carioca 2021, a tecnologia só foi utilizada nas semifinais e finais da fase decisiva da competição. Ainda segundo a reportagem do Jornal O Dia, o projeto da Federação do Rio é adotar o VAR em 100% da competição nos próximos anos, a questão financeira, no entanto, é o principal empecilho.
O Fluminense faz sua estreia na competição contra o Bangu, na quinta-feira, dia 27, às 20h30. A partida que rolará a bola no Estádio Luso Brasileiro, na Ilha do Governador, não terá a presença de VAR. O primeiro clássico que o Time de Guerreiros terá pela frente será contra o Flamengo na quarta rodada da competição, partida que terá a presença do recurso de arbitragem.
