Aílton Ferraz assume função de coordenador técnico da base do Fluminense
O Fluminense confirmou, nesta quarta-feira (25), o nome de Aílton Ferraz como novo coordenador técnico da base. De acordo com o clube, o ex-jogador vai auxiliar Marcelo Veiga na função, mas com foco no Sub-17 e Sub-20.
“Precisamos cada vez mais de uma formação mais individualizada, criando processos para que os jogadores — que são o centro da nossa metodologia — possam se desenvolver com mais qualidade. Entendemos que precisávamos de mais um profissional para a nossa coordenação técnica, uma vez que apenas o Marcelo Veiga tinha que cuidar de todas as 10 categorias. Pensamos em aproveitar a experiência do Aílton para fazer o controle metodológico nas duas últimas categorias antes dos atletas irem para o profissional, que é o Sub-17 e o Sub-20”, explicou o vice-presidente da base, Rui Reisinger.
Ex-jogador do clube na década de 1990, Aílton ficou marcado principalmente por ter chutado a bola desviada de barriga por Renato Gaúcho. Em entrevistas, sempre brincou lembrando que o gol do título do Carioca de 1995 era seu na súmula.
Desde que retornou ao clube, o ex-meia tem ocupado diferentes funções. Aílton chegou em 2019 para ser coordenador da base. Depois disso, se tornou auxiliar técnico, chegando a dirigir o time principal como interino em um Fla-Flu. Desde 2021, vinha comando o Sub-23 no Brasileirão de Aspirantes.

Marcelo Veiga vai continuar na função de coordenador da base, só que focado nos mais jovens, do Sub-9 ao Sub-16. A ideia é que o clube possa dar uma atenção individualizada em cada categoria.
