Depois do estadual e da RECOPA, qual é a nossa chance real no Campeonato Brasileiro? Favoritos ao título, uma vaga na Libertadores ou um mero disputante neste que no meu modo de entender é um grande campeonato, rivalizando por exemplo em termos de importância (talvez um pouco menos) com a Libertadores da América. De todas as competições que participaremos este ano, hoje dia 12 abril, é claro tudo em tese, o Brasileirão é o que temos a menor chance de brigar para conquistar um campeonato este ano, seria um grande milagre! Ainda falta a Copa do Brasil, que temos boa chance de chegar pelo menos nas semifinais. Poderia simplesmente republicar meu artigo que abrangia todas as competições do início do ano passado, pois não mudei muito de pensamento.
Como em 2023, considerei o Estadual a nossa maior chance de ganhar algo, achava possível brigar pelo Tri campeonato. Não passamos da primeira fase decisiva. Por vários motivos, médicos, físicos, tivemos que acelerar a nossa preparação, perdemos um mês em relação a todos outros times em virtude da nossa presença no Mundial de clubes no final do ano passado e principalmente por nos dedicarmos muito mais à conquista da RECOPA (notadamente por causa do nosso adversário a LDU, que estava atravessado na nossa garganta), o que acarretou vários problemas decorrentes de tudo isso.
Hoje estreamos no Brasileirão contra o Bragantino no Mario Filho, numa circunstância muito parecida com a que vimos em 2023. Brigaremos dentro dos conformes por uma vaga na Libertadores do ano que vem, que já será um grande negócio. O Flamengo, infelizmente como disse das outras vezes, é o favoritaço da competição. Não preciso nem dizer os motivos que o levam a esta afirmação, todos sabem de cor e salteado. Palmeiras vem a seguir e não coloco o Atlético Mineiro neste degrau como muitos estão fazendo. Considero, sim, o Galo, postulante assim como a gente e o Internacional (só terá esta competição este ano, portanto descansará mais do que todos, o que não deixa de ser uma vantagem considerável em se tratando também do nosso calendário, além de ter se reforçado muito bem) a uma vaga na Libertadores.
Outro motivo e este salta aos olhos, e que não vejo o Fluminense brigando na frente, é o fato de que apesar de reforçarmos o nosso elenco muito mais consistente e melhor do que no ano passado, ainda não nos permite brigar em três frentes com sucesso, sem falar das datas conflitantes, o que obrigará o nosso técnico, que não é seu feitio, a poupar jogadores. Vai chegar um momento em que teremos que dar preferência por uma delas ou duas no máximo, ou seja, pela Copa do Brasil e novamente pela Libertadores, que na teoria está bem mais difícil do que a do ano anterior. Aqui um parênteses: leio em redes sociais que é uma “OBRIGAÇÃO” do nosso time ganhar o bicampeonato. Caramba o que é isto? Não somos favoritos sozinhos! tem vários outros fecha parentes.
Sobre a Libertadores, ainda temos que esperar quase duas semanas para seu reinicio. Vamos jogar duas partidas na casa dos nossos rivais o que não será nada fácil, muito pelo contrário, “vamos comer o pão que o diabo amassou” podem ter certeza disso. Se conseguirmos voltar desta viagem com dois pontos, ou seja, dois empates, já está de bom tamanho. Mas isso fica para um próximo artigo.
