Quatro jogadores do Fluminense são convocados para a Seleção Sub-20
A CBF divulgou a lista dos 23 atletas convocados para a disputa do Torneio Internacional Sub-20, que acontecerá no Espírito Santo nos dias 8, 10 e 12 de junho. Dos nomes selecionados, quatro são da base do Fluminense, fazendo com que Xerém represente cerca de um quinto da Seleção Sub-20 nesta Data FIFA, a segunda com Ramon Menezes a frente da equipe.
A última convocação foi em março deste ano e visava a disputa dos jogos preparatórios em Salvador. Na ocasião, o treinador contou com os atacantes tricolores Matheus Martins e Alexsander. Desta vez, Cayo Felipe e Arthur se juntam aos companheiros de equipe para vestir a amarelinha.

Arthur é hoje considerado mais uma das grandes promessas de Xerém. Com 17 anos, integra o time sub-20 do Fluminense e mostra maturidade de sobra para a idade. O meia coleciona convocações para as seleções sub-15, sub-16 e sub-17, sendo esta a primeira vez que é chamado para atuar na categoria acima. Parte da chamada “Geração dos Sonhos”, brilhou no meio de campo do Flu na conquista do título brasileiro de 2020.
Para Cayo Felipe, a situação é diferente, pois esta é sua primeira convocação. Em sua última temporada no sub-17 do Fluminense, foi destaque vitorioso ano de 2020. Com grandes defesas ao longo da campanha do título nacional e do vice-campeonato da Copa do Brasil, o arqueiro subiu para o sub-20 no ano seguinte. Também membro da “Geração dos Sonhos”, assinou contrato com o Fluminense até 2026.
A fábrica de craques de Xerém está ainda representada por mais um jogador, que hoje atua no Manchester City. Trata-se do atacante Kayky, que foi vendido ao time inglês em 2021. Nesta temporada, já entrou em campo pelo time de Pep Guardiola e vem jogando pelo sub-23.
